VETERINARY REFERRALS

For
vets.

Veterinary referrals for canine behaviour assessment and support with Jim Gillies, CAB, CDBC.

I work collaboratively with referring veterinary practices to understand each dog’s behaviour, taking account of relevant medical history, welfare and safety. Veterinary input helps identify medical factors that may influence behaviour and informs an individual behaviour support plan.

How to refer

Refer using the online form on this page, or download the referral form and return it with relevant clinical records.

Both routes cover the presenting concern, any known safety issues, relevant medical history and current treatment, with sections for veterinary confirmation and owner consent to share relevant clinical information.

Return completed forms to

Once I receive the referral, I will contact the owner directly to arrange the next steps.

Working with your practice

Following assessment, I provide practical guidance for the owner and, with their consent, share relevant findings and recommendations with the referring practice. Any concerns requiring medical investigation or treatment are referred back to the veterinary surgeon.
